Default 2001 Town & Country heat/air issue

I have a 2001 Town and Country. Most of the time, the heat/air/defrost does not blow out of the front vents. The back window defrost works and the air in the back seat works also. Does anyone know what the problem might be.

Could be the mode door actuator, could be the control head, could be the body computer, could be the wiring connecting those parts.
Could be the fan motor/resistor/control module, (depending on whether yours has ATC).

Does that narrow it down for you?

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping for a little more specific.

I'm not even sure what you are describing is a problem: "Most of the time, the heat/air/defrost does not blow out of the front vents." If by "the front vents" you mean the vents that are in the dash, then "most of the time" the heat shouldn't blow out of those vents. Heat should be coming out of the floor vents, which are invisible as you sit at the wheel. The rear defrost is completely unrelated as it is a heated grid on the glass.
If you want some help diagnosing the problem then you will need to be a lot more specific with your description.
First, do you have manual or automatic temperature control?
Second, what do you mean by "most of the time"?
Third, by "front vents", are you referring to the vents in the dash? If not, what?
Fourth, when it's not blowing out of the "front vents", what is it doing? Blowing out of the defroster?, Not blowing at all? Blowing out of the floor outlets?
Fifth, how are the controls set?
Sixth, when it does blow out of the "front vents", what, if anything is different?
The better description of the problem you can supply, the more of a chance that somebody on the board here can help. The climate control system in a modern automobile is a complex system. There are many possible causes for it not working. If you want specifics, you must be specific.

My van is doing the same thing. The heat/ air will not blow out the front vents on the driver and passenger side or defrost unless I'm driving then it comes out but it only blows like it is on the second or third light on the control even if its in high. Does that help?? Please let me know what it might be.
