I'm looking for any ideas for getting my car in working order again. Last night I tried to start it and it started fine, went to shift into gear and my shift went all the way back without catching a single gear. brought it back up to drive and it acted like it was in neutral (revved, but no movement). Put it in park turned the car off and turned it on to try again, only the second time the motor wouldn't roll over. When I turn the key to start the light on the dash shows my car is in reverse, and when I turn it off and take out the key my reverse lights remain on for a while.
