i have the 87 lebaron convertible i had on before and it seems the boot on the first one fit way better than this one. i also had a 95 vert and that boot fit real good all i had to do was lay t on the back over the top and it had clips that held it on the back and then the latches by the rear windows. plus a strip that tucked in along the back seat.

now this 87 has the latches and that strip along the back seat but it just doesn't lay flat along the back of the car. i had to insert a bead into the open tube along the back to hold it.

now this is harder than the corvair top that fit along the back seat with that bead and open tube and also snaps.

it seems the other 87 labaron i had the boot laid down just like the 95 did. real easy to install and remove it was a snap to do. so is there 2 kinds of top boots and i got lucky and got one that is hard to install. if i'm stuck with this then i may just never install it again after this weekends when i have to raise the top a number of times because i will be at a show and with need to secure the car overnight. the other barons never were hard to do so raising the top was easy.

is there anyone that has ideas thanks or maybe videos that show both boot installations? thanks bp.
