I have just replaced the master cylinder.
The problem was that the pedal felt like it was bypassing fluid.
I bench bleed the master cylinder first.
then bleed the brakes in the normal way. The book said to hook a code scanner to the jeep and rebleed the system. Which I did.
Then did again the normal way.

HOWEVER the problem still exists the pedal is firm but then bypasses slowly , sometimes the ABS motor comes on . this vibrates the pedal , then locks the brakes. This happens only when the jeep is rolling VERY slow (like not moving slow). AS far as I can tell the brakes are working fine as far as stopping power, both foward and reverse.

The code scanner didnt give any codes.
The abs and brake light both work , BUT are NOT on. And have NOT come on.

Default RE: abs brakes

i would say a sensor is giving some bad info making the brakes lock up or a caliper is locking up making the abs think its locked up the wheel
