Sorry I had me a little accident while installing plugs on teh back side of my 3.8 L there is a straight Razor hidden back there as it about near cut my right index finger off so I have been a wee bit typing handicapped (Not to mention I somehow about paralyzed myself by majorly aggrivating a Lower back injury that had me Flat on my back till Sun in extreme pain .
The Flat Filter is a Washable one and it is # 889054
I have not compared it side to side with a K&N to see how much more Cotton the K&N Does or does not have but It looked pretty good to me.and it seems flow well although I am not allowed to really test it out extensively as I am told (this is a Van not one of my hot rods so its to be driven nicely) IE not my Vehicle lol. Though I do like the Luxuries, The paint and its a dream ride and quiet too.
They had to special order it at A-Zone but it only took 2 days and no extra for shipping so no problems by me.
I did not see any Cleaner or Oil for it on the Azone website but I bet there is probably some in stock at the store or its possible you can use K&N Filtercharger kits Ill look into that and get back to ya on that issue.

Spectre Performance - Official Site

Here is a link to the filter plus a Huge selection of items I was un aware of, I do see they actually make the (Real or Correct) Cold Air Intake systems with a plater seperating intake air from overheated engine compartment air

Thanks for the part number + the Spectre Link.

Sorry to hear of your accident. So was it really a "straight razor" or what?
Maybe some words of wisdom, so it doesn't happen to anybody else.

I will check at my AutoZone.
Thanks again.... hope you are healing up real good..

My best guess...The Exhaust manifold "SHELL", at #3 cylinder????

Just for giggles...Next time, remove the wiper cowl. Its 4 or 5 bolts, an extra 5 minutes..But you can take the back plugs out with your teeth while sipping coffee. We had a New guy, who was more than a bit on the large side , And he couldnt reach the back plugs No matter how he tried.....Now he Begs for the tune up tickets.

As for the "PSEUDO-COLD" intake setups......Your Computer adjusts fuel to compensate for the Incoming air Volume , as well as Temperature......And Unless it is "PLUGGED UP SOLID", there is NO DIFFERENCE.....You can Only get in as much air as the engine will suck in. Dont MISTAKE the COOL NOISE for a POWER INCREASE.....and...In Theory...The More air you take in, the more fuel that is necessary.

Pops; Can you advise if performance (gar milege and power) improved ? I've been playing with the idea of doing the same on my wife's minivan (Town & Country 2006); let me know your comments.

Thx
