Default Bad Continental tires

[:@]24000 miles all highway, normal driving and the tires on my AWD 300 limited are about done? Dealer wants to know nothing, Continental dealer advies a law suit in progress to see if owners get new tires for premature wear, tire dealer agrees I have maybe 5000 left before I am running slicks.I have rotated the tires per dealer at 6,12 and 18k all even wear just no tread. Any suggestions what tiresI should replace these stock ones with? I commute 71 miles each way to work and live in snow country. The car was great in the snow when I purchased her in December 2008. from looking I guessI am about to spend $800 on new sneakers?

Default RE: Bad Continental tires

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE CONTINENTAL TIRES ON MY 2006 300C WHICH I BOUGHT NEW FROM A LOCAL DEALER. REPLACED ALL FOUR TIRES AT ABOUT 26,000 MILES. NO OFFER FOR ANY ADJUSTMENT FROM MY DEALER. ONLY OTHER MFG AT THE TIME I REPLACED MY TIRES WAS GOODYEAR. SIZE 225 60R18. THEY ARE WEARING OK, BUT DON'T RIDE SMOOTH. DEARLER TIRE EXPERT CAN'T GET THEM TO RIDE AS WELL AS THE ORIGINAL CONTINENTAL TIRES. GOT AN UNSOLICITED OFFER FROM THE CONTINENTAL PEOPLE 'BOUT A MONTH AGO FOR A PRORATED REFUND ON THE CONTINENTAL TIRES APPARENTLY DUE TO A CLASS ACTION SUIT ABOUT THEIR TIRES. YOU HAVE TO HAVE REPLACED THE TIRES BEFORE 30,000 MILES. YOU WILL FALL IN THEIR 20 TO 30,000 MILE ADJUSTMENT BRACKET. AS A POINT OF INTEREST, SAM'S CLUB NOW CARRIES FIVE BRAND OF TIRES IN MY SIZE, RANGING FROM 135 TO 175 DOLLARS FOR EACH TIRE. I DON'T RECOMMENT GOODYEAR "ASSURANCE" MODEL.

Default RE: Bad Continental tires

I own a 300C SRT8 that came with 20" rims and the Goodyear F1 3 season tires. Only have driven this vehicle for the past 3 summers as I store my vehicle in the winter. I only have around 32500 kms on the vehicle but I need to replace my tires in the spring as they are already worn down. I work at the Brampton assembly plant where the 300s are built and can't believe that i need to replace the tires already! I am guessing that these tire companies are selling auto manufacturers cheaper made tires that would need replacing within 2-3 years! Auto manufacturers are asking suppliers to reduce their costs so they can get cheaper prices on parts so I am thinking that these companies sell the auto manufacturers cheaper made products that won't last long! I can't believe that I need to replace tires already and they are not cheap to buy either!
