Cannot Shift Into Neutral
I have a 2002 Chrysler Concorde that is stuck in limp mode. The car does not move in any gear, you feel a slight pop like it engages the gear but the engine will not rev above 2000 RPM's. The real problem I am having is the car will not even shift into neutral.
Maybe someone has seen this issue before would be great to hear any ideas as to what is causing this.
The battery has been dead for awhile also so no codes. Brakes are not locked up either????

Let's get some terminology straight. "Limp Mode" is a condition set by the computer to cause the transmission to stay in 2nd gear to allow you to "limp" in to a service facility to have it diagnosed and repaired. You say the car will not move in any gear. That's not "limp mode".
"The real problem I am having is the car will not even shift into neutral." Sounds like the real problem you have is the car won't shift out of neutral.
Have you checked the level of transmission fluid? Have you checked the shift linkage?
There should be codes. You will need a sophisticated code reader, more than the usual parts store type. Even if the battery was dead for while, since it is having serious issues, it should re-generate codes once it is running.
The only way to diagnose it is to get a good (dealer-level) code reader hooked up and drill down to find out what codes are there and then proceed with that information. Guessing from afar is just guessing.
