I was driving, (2005 sebring) not fast or anything, i notice my check engine light comes on about a min later i can feel that my car was not going even though i was mashing the gas pedal. last i looked the check engine light was still on as well as the oil pressure light. no noises or knocks or smells, so im confused. i haven't had any issues this just came out of no where. any idea of what this could be and how much it would cost to fix?

 

There's a reason the check engine light is on. It means there's a fault code (or codes)stored in the computer. Have a competent technician retrieve the code(s) and he will be able to determine what is wrong and how to fix it. There are hundreds of possible codes. Nobody here can tell you which ones are stored in your computer from this incident.

 

Try the "Key Dance" for checking codes. In car, door closed then:
Key on/key off - key on/key off - key on the odometer should go blank, then display code, then say "done"
NOTE on/off not all the way to start or all the way to lock, just on/off
