Check light on idle..
'94 Chrysler Lebaron
After about 10 minutes of driving, when idiling, my check gauges light comes on my my oil gauge drops all the way to the left. It returns to normal when I put even the slightest pressure on the gas pedal. There's oil in there so I know it can't be that..Any ideas?

RE: Check light on idle..
What engine size? The issue may be your oil pressure. Oil pressure does go up, when you raise the rpms. You might check the oil pressure switch/sending unit. Unplug it, see if the connector looks clean. Some of my information says the unit may be located above the oil filter. Are there two terminals in the connector.
You could remove the unit and use a pressure gage, there, see if the reading is the same. Sometimes old units don't want to come out, you could damage the threads, be careful.
