My chrysler grand voyager has started to make a knocking noise. Its there when the car is first started or cold, gets worse when the steering wheel turned full lock in either direction or when in reverse. Once the car is running / warm and above about 2000revs the noise almost goes completely. It has been been in to 3 garages one being a chrysler dealer (waste of time) and still no answers it is a 2005 CRD XS LIMITED with 40,000 miles on clock with full service history. Any ideas would be welcomed.

 

Anyway to check the oil pressure? Might be the oil pump taking a dump. Not sure how to check the pump itself but that would be my first guess...
