I have a 1999 grand voyager 3.3 petrol it had been stood about 4 months, charged battery and it started first time, reversed off the drive and drove back on no problems. A week later taking it for an MOT and discovered it goes in reverse and drive but it does not go up the gears also the speedometer is not working, has anybody any ideas?

 

Your trans controller is protecting the trans by forcing 'Safe Mode' or 'Limp home mode' this would suggest that there is a serious problem with the trans or trans fluid. Get it checked fast.
