I had the BCM replaced on my 01 Sebring Limited, and everything is fine except for the keyless entry. It doesn't work anymore. I press the lock/unlock button and nothing happens. I took the fob to an auto parts store and tested it. The IR signal was detected so the battery seems fine. Could it be related to the bcm replacement?

 

Yes it could be. Where did you get this BCM....New? Salvage?

 

It was new. I took it to a local mechanic. I took a drive last night and noticed that the light cluster was totally dark. I am pretty sure that has to do with the bcm as well. I will be going back to the shop tomorrow!

 

I can tell you in the last year, the "vintage" reman. BCMs have been problematic. It's a vendor issue.
