Default My 1999 Sebring convertible Jxi getting OBD scanner codes P1698 and P1695

The other day I had the radiator hose blow - the one that crosses over the transmission speed sensors. The next morning speedometer didn't work and gear shift indicator had all gears highlighted. Now all gauges will not on dash will sometimes go down then work later on. I believe the tranny is I limp mode which didn't happen until the next morning either. The evening the hose blew everything seemed fine.
I've been told that since I got a P0500 code on one of my first scans but not showing up anymore I should replace the input and output sensor first.
Now my scanner gives me The two codes above from my PCM and says the SRS has no ccd bus and also the BCM has no cluster ccd bus message and that aecm & cluster ccd message mismatch. My question is would the in and out speed sensors cause the domino effect on my car. Almost forgot scanner says skm has "transponder comm failure" and "Serial link failure" and "PCC status failure".
Would be nice if the input and output would fix all this. I'm retired and this car I've had the time to learn it's cramp space. I'd be able to do the sensor. Hope to get some feed back.

Suggest posting on 'allpar.com'. There are a number of contributors there that should be able to assist in diagnosing your issue.

My suspicion is the coolant spray may have affected the pcm/ecm (engine control module) and/or the tcm (transmission control module). It may be simply cleaning out (electronic contact cleaner) the connectors will resolve the issues but no assurances.

Thanks ggoose. I will look into the link you suggested. Still haven't figured it out but I am getting a better understanding of the system"s workings. I will update when I do finally diagnose the cause..
