I own a 2006 300C SRT8 with the original NAV system in it. I would like to upgrade this to the new MYgig entertainment system. Can anyone tell me if this is possible to do? Is it as easy as swapping systems?

Yes you can update the system to a mygig. Is it easy.... not so much. You have to buy the radio buy the kit to put it in, buy a new review mirror that has the mic in it for the uconnect for your phone. Once you have all of this installed you then have to tell your computers that you have installed this which means going to the dealer. I believe you flash the TIPM computer and you have to tell it now you have the mygig system setup. hope that helps.

BTW they aren't going to call it mygig anymore there was some name infringment going on. Its now Uconnect Radio.

 

Has anyone done this? Didn’t think this could be done on anything other then on an 08? There are some amp issues I believe you can get the unit to power on but on sound. Please correct me.

 

I already have the rear view mirror with the built in mic. for Uconnect! I wouldn't need to upgrade that! I was just wondering if it was possible to replace my OEM radio system, that has am/fm, 6 disc, nav system to the new MYGIG! I also have the 13 speaker Kicker system in my vehicle. My car was built for the Canadian market as I live in Toronto and was never equipped for Satellite radio. Are there any other things that I may need to know before I contact a dealer to inquire about this? What is the cost of changing to the new system? Can anyone tell me if it was done to their vehicles and can anyone upload some photos? Any information would be greatly appreciated!
