RE: Need advice/Motor flush/engine sludge problem
how do you know you have enough sludge to worry about.
if you have a bunch it's from a lack of mtce OR short trips OR maybe even s thermostat issue not working MAYBE not even in there to allow engine to heat up properly. do you get plenty of heat ?
is there collant in the oil ?
If short trips are your issue run it liek 20 miles once per week. it better for the engine oil and keeps exhaust system from rusting out quickly.
I have used 1/2 can of sea Foam. OR1/2 can of most any transfluid run it 15 minutes and change the oil. bothworkwell. I have done both . my neigh bor had a for temp with a 4 cylinder in it and i could not believe the amount so sludge in the valve cover, we scraped a lot off with tools befoe putting valve cover back on and flusing the engine with an old 1/2 quart of tranny oil.
