Default New to Chrysler, and I already have problems. Help?

Hi, I'm new to this forum and just bought my 1st Chrysler, a 1995 Lebaron GTC V6, in AMAZING condition with 104,000 miles on it.

All has been good for about a week and I am already running into issues.

Issue One:

The check engine light has been coming on and off here and there. And sometimes when your driving, the engine starts " kicking ", as in if your just going along, it starts randomly revving, and starts to get way down in the RPMs, you have to floor it to get it running good again, and then it feels like its at WOT. If you pull over and shut the car off for awhile its fine then, it does this randomly. There is no kind of pattern that I can see. And I know it is not a transmission issue, because when you put the car in park it idles really crappy.

2nd issue that arose today.

Today, a few things decided to stop working.

1. The tach
2. Interior Lights
3. Radio
4. Power door locks ( well they work, but only when the key is in. )

Speedo and cup holder light still work great, as do the rest of the gauges and the power windows.

What is going on here?

Oh, and I do love my new to me chrysler. It has so much more power than my Honda civic, and handles better to. And I Love the drop top.

The "check engine light" is turned on by the computer because it has detected that something is wrong. The computer will have some stored "codes" in it that will report what it has found. That car goes back a number of years and may not be compatible with current OBD II (on-board diagnostics) readout equipment, but to find out what is wrong, you will need to download the fault codes from the engine computer and then figure out what needs to be fixed. You might start by driving it over to your local Autozone store and ask them if they can read the fault codes.
