I have a 04 pacifica fwd and recently it has been making a noise from the front of the car when I hit the brakes hard and now the car is making a poping sound when the car shifts into 2nd gear... It will accelarate just fine and as soon as second gets hits hard on the front wheels I hear a noticable pop come from the passengers side. It sounds as if the bushings are out and it it hitting metal.. But I went under my car just now and and the lower control arm has cracks in the bushings but nothing that bad. Anyone had this problem? About to take a road trip and would hate to spend a junk load of money to take it to the dealer if it is something I can fix.
