i also have a passenger seatbelt tensioner problem. the airbag light is staying on and after getting chrysler to check this ,this is what the problem is. can i fix this myself or is it major stuff. thank u again. car ia 2.0ltr auto limited 2002

 

well it depends on if the tensioner is in the buckle or in the retractor . Thebuckle is well what kinda car do u have or give me the last 8 of the vin and i can tell u dead on

yours are in the retractor selt belt webbing part. Now which retractor is bad??? Know this or plan to replace both

 

when replacing seat belt do i need to disconect battery due toairbag system

 

where is the other retractor?

 

yes take off the + batt cable there are retractors in each seatbelt in the front. UNless u plan on spending money to replace both get some one with a code reader that can get assess to the aig bag systme and find out withc one and if anything else.
