transmission problems

i have a 2007 pacifica when shifting into reverse or drive at a dead stop,while my foot is still on the pedal i feel a clunk\thumping felling is this normal or should i have this problem looked at.

Have your motor/transaxle mounts checked. Too much movement is not a good thing. Noise itself is not a problem, but movement can be.
