Wire Colors On Infinity Acoustic 10 System?
Hello everyone,
First post here on Chrysler forums. I joined because I have an issue pertaining to the Infinity Acoustic 10 sound system installed in my Dodge 1996 Caravan. Recently I had one of the speakers in the passenger's side door die on me. So, I decided to replace it myself, seeing I have done speakers on other cars before without a problem. Now, once I removed the door paneling, I removed the speaker and found this module mounted to the speaker. I later discovered this module is a power booster, which essentially amplifies the signal going to the voice coil (for the subs). There are 4 of these modules, 1 mounted on each of the 4 subs.
I bought a pair of Pioneer component speakers (2-way), and went to wire them up. The only problem is on the Infinity speakers, there was a blue and white wire going to the speaker (which was the output of the power booster). Since the stock Chrysler Infinity speakers aren’t marked +/-, I am not sure what the blue and white wires stand for. I was thinking white was used as negative, but I know on Chevy's its opposite.
Does anyone know if the blue wire coming the power booster is used as a positive wire, or a negative wire?
Thanks, I can’t seem to find this simple answer anywhere.
