Default Ypsilon light fault

Hi I'm new to this forum & hoping someone may be able to assist with common problem?
My wife has a Chrysler Ypsilon Red & Black 62 Plate & has been in the garage on 2 previous occasions with the same problem, that being the headlights & dash lights going out whilst driving. This problem has re-occured tonight after approx6 months ago.
I am very concerned as this is a serious safety issue as should they stay off for longer than the few seconds my wife or son could have a very serious accident. I will contact the dealer supplying garage but I will ensure that they understand the full serious nature , as my wife has dealt with them on the 2 previous occasions & did not think they were very concerned.
Has anyone else had a similar issue in order that I can advise & was there a specific fix?

By the way other than this issue my wife thinks its the best car she's ever had, but this must be resolved.

Thanks all, Jeff

Default Same fault

Hi jeff I also have a 62 plate Ypsilon and have had the same problem. It went into the garage on Friday and they could not find any fault but ran a software update and hoped this would sort it. Last night driving home in the dark my lights flashed off and on twice in a 35 minute drive. So, sorry I can't help with the fault but it does seem to be the same make and year of car that's the problem. Will be phoning the garage again next week. Jane

Thanks Jane, my wife's car was in twice previously & we thought it was fixed on the second however has re-occurred. We will do the same as not been into garage yet as we have been away. We will share your post as there is obviously some common problem, if we get a resolution I will post, i you could kindly share the same.

Thanks

I also have a 62 reg Ypsilon Black and Red and have had exactly the same problem with the lights over the past week or so! Also the main beam doesn't stay on. It's so dangerous and scary if you need to drive at night. Has gone into the dealership today and thankfully has shown the problem when they tried it. They've had it all day and don't know what the problem is so keeping it overnight. Glad I've found this forum so I know it's not just mine! Will let you know what happens!

They have replaced the indicator stalk so will see what happens! I had mine serviced in May and has now done 21,000 altogether so not sure whether it's related to that?

My wife's indicator stalk was also replaced & as yet we have not noticed the problem since, however the car is not used much on a night in the summer months, but hopefully resolved

We eventually had the stick replaced in 2014 and have not had a problem since. I seem to think that Chrysler did a recall a few years ago when they finally admitted there was a a problem.
