i have a 91 new yorker v-6
new fuel pump,fliter,map sensor.
still starts for 2 seconds then dies.
i can hold the gas pedal down half way and it will rev for a second too, but then dies.
any help would be appreciated

also, i can spray starter fluid down the intake and it stays running til i stop spraying.
so any help would be appreciated

 

added a replacement pcm, still has same problem. anyone have an idea where to go next?

 

My '84 Lebaron had the same problem. I was convinced that there was possibly moisture in the gas tank seeing as every other diagnostic I tried wasn't working. I brought it to the dealership twice and seeing as this was kind of an off and on problem, it of course wouldn't replicate while they were in possession of the car.
