Default Trip computer question

I have a 83 chrysler lebaron 2.6 liter. After installing a aftermarket stereo it just stopped working. I cant figure out why ive taken the whole dash apart traced all the wires and cant figure it out. Anyone have any ideas why it went out after i installed the after market stereoi.

What is the "it" that just stopped working and when Immediately or some time after?
Did you cut and splice wires or use a connecting plug in harness adapter? And how many wires did you NOT connect up from the dash harness?
If some time after..Blown fuse? recheck your wiring job.

The trip computer stopped working altogether. immediately it stoped working. ive rechecked my wiring a few times using the wire schematic. it seems to be wired right. ive heard that the stock radio had some kind of security so that if it got stolen it wouldnt work . and that i have to trick the car into thinking its connected. something like that. have yoiu heard of something like that

NOT in an '83 model year. Has to be a blown fuse or wire not hooked up from radio change, or hooked to wrong wire.
