"New" 96 Sebring JX driver = me
The tale of my '96 Sebring is sort of sad; I co-signed the loan for my now-ex-wife who defaulted on the loan about a year after leaving home. It was banged up when the repo guy picked it up, and I was able to find it & spring it from the auction house within days of it going on the block. It was a lose-lose-lose proposition; suffice to say I chose grossly overpaying and having a beat-up car versus paying off a loan for nothing. The best I can paint it is "tuition" for "adult education".
It has sat around since early 2002, driven once before this fall when the family needed another vehicle (eldest child started work).New battery (changing battery = a joy), new oil, oil filter, air filter, new fender, new (salvage) tail-light assy, body work & paint job and I think I have a decent car, about 58K miles right now. Too bad it's cold I would look really bad-@ss with the top down, late mid-life crisis.
Documentation and parts are becoming scarce, although a salvage yard within an hour of home seems to have a few on their lot. I may need the help of this forum when I'm stumped.
