I was in the process of seeing if I fixed the overheating problems I was having. So last night I start the car and put the heater, and I start seeing mists of water (really gas) from the engine.
i shut of the car and I found a fuel leak.
ive been smelling alittle gas every now and then, but for some reason when I put the heater on it caused it to leak bad.
NEED HELP???
What’s the name of this part?
it connects to the fuel rail.
I went to autozone and they couldn’t help me
which part are you talking about the tow lines theta re not connected to anything? Fuel lines or fuel return lines no i doubt AutoZone would have anything like that. What did you remove to have them taken off?
The line with the green tag to the right and the line with the black connector on the left.
it’s right under the throttle body.
the line with the green tag on it comes from the fuel rail
These are fuel line quick connects, the green clip slides into the black piece next to it and snaps into place. The green clip is very replaceable and should be available at most auto parts stores. The black piece is more durable and is not as easily replaced but does have a pair of o-rings inside that may be damaged. If the quick connect is leaking, pick up a suitable black end and use the o-rings in your end piece.
These quick connects are sometimes packaged with a number of different sizes and quantities.
