I have a 2006 PT Cruiser. Recently it began to stall. It happens either at stop or slowing down. It also ha a sort of coughing thing that happens. It is random some days fine other days will stall 5 or 6 times a day.

My mechanic has given a tune up, replaced some cables, replaced the fan or something having to do with the fan not turning on. The coughing has quieted down though is still there as well as the stalling.

I am frustrated because my mechanic admets that he does not know what it is so everytime I take it in he does some work, it costs me money and it is not fixed.

Any suggestions?
