PLESE HELP!!!
I originally had P0300 & P2305 codes so I checked the coil pack and yes there was a dead short between the output of the #2 & #3 secondary coil. I replaced the coil pack, plugs & wires. Now I'm still not getting any spark on 2 or 3.
Could this problem be the ECM?
I'm about to pull my hair out.....

Thank you, I do understand the concept of wasted spark and that's the relationship between #2 & #3 cylinders. My question is, what can I check to see what the cause of this is?

What sort of signal are you getting to the primary side of the coil? The coil should get 12 volts, the computer should be interrupting the ground.
The article also suggests that the crankshaft position sensor could be involved in the problem.

The center wire is the main power and it is getting 12v. Is there a way to check the crank sensor?

The car will start up, just runs on only 2 cylinders, and of course very rough... if tge crank sensor was bad would the car start up at all?

Thank you, I've been thinking the same thing but just needed to hear someone else say it...
Only having paid $550 for the car, I can put some into it and still be ahead of the game.

If you get to the point of needing to replace the computer, search eBay and the internet for services that replace them on an exchange basis. Rather than pay $1200 from a dealer, it'll cost about $1000 less. I did that for my Sebring and was very satisfied.
