my battery light comes on and after a while of driving the abs light then comes on and i end up having a light show from the movies with out the ufo flying over the car.

I have replaced the battery and no sooner the starting the car with the new battery the battery light came on again. Had the alternator pulled and tested and it was good so i replaced the belt while i was there. that worked for about 6 hours then the battery light can on again.


Can some one please help me out on figuring what is wrong??

 

need to have the power supply from the battery to the alt looked at and as well as the field driver from the pcm and power supply to that field driver.

 

and what would be the best way to have that checked

just got back from advanced auto and i am now getting a code p1714 on the code reader
any ideas??



took the van to dealer and found out the alt was the problem thanks for all that tried to help.
