Default 2002 T/C alternator issue

I have been trying for 2 days to unclip the connector on my alternator for 2 days now. can't figure it out. Removing the bolts was no problem. Pepboys and the dealer are not willing to share any info. Some say squeeze the bottom, some have said put a screwdriver in it. At a loss...frustrated.

KKeller608@aol.com, I turned it over and there is a red clip on the bottom of the connector. it is damaged now for 2 days of trying to push it in with a screwdriver (advice from pepboys)....I assume that with a small screwdriver or needle nose I should be able to pull the red tag (whats left of it out) and thereby be able to separated the connector.

Well, finally got it off. Broke the connector in the process (the end on the harness. Put it all together in about 20 minutes, using electrical tape to secure the connector until I can either buy a new harness (not looking forward to changing that) or slicing a new or used connector on old harness.
