2005 Chrysler town and country
Hello to all you good folks, the Chrysler enthusiasts.
I am wondering if anyone knows not what the EGR valve does on a 2005 Chrysler town and country 3.3L but how it does it
I know what EGR valve does, everyone does. Okay, almost everyone.
But I like to know exactly what is going on inside the valve, the exact make up of each of the 5 wires and how, where and by what means and what is going on inside exactly.
I prefer actual specifics fact and figures, voltages and principle of operation as what goes on inside.
Even the best mechanics I know simply know the terminologies, diagnostics, numbers but really has no idea once you push to issue.
First thing first: What is the name or type of EGR valve that this rig is equipped with as there seem to be so many types I guess. From vacuum operated to digital.. to.... ?
1. Why is reference wire 5volts and what does it mean anyway, it's purpose in the game. Pin 2
2. We know what signal wire does, it sends signal. Yea I know, whatever that is. Maybe it whistles. Anyway what exact mechanism change the value of signal voltage exactly? Pin1.
3. Why signal wire and the so called reference volts (pin 2) has its own separate ground wire? Pin 3
What are the above circuit made from, copper, bonze, lead, aluminum, and in what form, straight wires, coils, semiconductors, MOSFET.....JFET...?
4. How the above are all connected to the control wire when it triggers its full voltage to open the valve fully. Pin 6. Is ti connected to the above or is it its own complete circuit that the computer alone controls, whether it received voltage or not?
5. I don['t need explanation for ground wire. pin 4.
I realize that all 5 circuits are feed in the Computer except the actual Ground pin 4.
Thank you very much.
