Hello, I know the oil pressure light issues are old news. I have searched the forum and have not found any info on the problem i am having. I have a 2006 Pacifica, 3.5 liter with 54000 original miles. My oil pressure light comes on every time on the first start of the engine. If i shut it off and recrank it, the light stays off. It only comes on with the first start no matter hot or cold engine. Any opinions or advice would be appreciated.

Okay, current update. I just returned from a 1000 mile trip. Oil and Filter change made no difference. Next thing to do is change the oil sending unit. Do not understand why the light comes on on first start but will stay out if shut off and restarted again. I fear I am going to wear the starter out cranking it twice every time I have to go somewhere.
