Default 2004 Chrystler Town and Country HELP!!!!

I am a new member looking for advise on my 2004 chrystler town and country.
I went to start my van and it started and shut right off.
I did this several times. Kept shutting off,.
There is a red circle flashing light on the dash.
Van will no longer start.
I think it's the anti theft light, but not sure why this happened.
Anyone have a similar problem and suggestions on how to fix this?
My key fob is not working also.

Welcome to the forum. Questions regarding your car should be posted in the relevant car section of the forum. This section is where new members introduce themselves. Your fellow T&C owners will hang out in the T&C section and might have answers for your car questions.

It sounds from your description that the anti-theft system is not recognizing your key. This will probably require a trip to the dealer to remedy since, for obvious reasons, overriding the anti-theft system is not an easy do-it-yourself project. Your key fob battery may need replacement, or that problem could be related to the confused state of the anti-theft system. Try posting in the T&C sections and see if any other owners have dealt with this.
