Default Chrysler Voyager 2.5 crd

Hi,

I have a problem with my 2001 Chrysler 2.5 crd turbo diesel. When starting from cold, it cranks briefly then starts but runs for about ten - fifteen seconds as if it is on choke, (it's a diesel)as it clears it misfires but after it has cleared, it runs perfectly. It doesn't have engine management but it has been checked in a garage. They couldn't find any fault but suggested that the EGR valve might be sticking. The problem first showed itself about two weeks ago. The vehicle is in good condition and has recently been serviced. I am reluctant to have the EGR valve replaced whilst I am not sure this is the problem The car has covered 70000 miles from new.

Does anyone have any advice on this one please?

it sounds to me like an injector fault, which are very common on these engines. a leak off test can be done, or a computer can check the performance of the injectors.
