Default Compressor clutch delay engaging

Hey Guys, i am new here and need your advise on the issue i am facing with my 300 12. The AC Compressor usually kick immediately when turned on, however in the past few days it takes around 10 mins driving for the compressor clutch to engage. In fact once it is engaged, the cooling is just perfect and no disconnection or any problem and even if i turned it off and on, It kicks immediately with again perfect cooling. The main issue mainly appears if the car is left for few hours. Any idea what could be the cause for such issue, as someone recommended the compressor failure which i doubt and don't want to change it for such cost and the problem remains.
