Hi, I am a newbie from England, UK. We own a 2009 Chrysler Grand Voyager 2.8 CRD 25th Anniversary Ltd Edition and the orange engine warning light has come on a few days ago but it is not flashing. I have driven the car on numerous occasions since but the light is still on. Is there any way telling what is causing this or of manually resetting the light or do I need to connect to a specialist workshop device? We want to sell or trade the car in so don't want to spend a lot of money at this point if at all possible? many thanks in advance for any advice! ;-)

 

Welcome to the forum. You might try posting your question in the Town & Country/Voyager part of the forum here. There are lots of people from the UK who frequent that forum.

The "check engine light" indicates that there is one or more fault codes stored in the computer of the car. They are very valuable in terms of steering you or your mechanic in the right direction to fixing the car.

Not sure about that side of the pond but over here many parts stores will hook up a code reader and read the fault codes that are stored in the computer. They do it for free in the hopes of selling some replacement parts.
