i have owned a neon 1.8slx 16v for 6 years and have never had a problem with insurance but i am now in the process of selling it and the potential buyer is having problems getting it insured due to the following reasons

the insurance company has stated the 1.8slx was not made before 2002 yet the same insurance company has insured it for us for the past 6yrs?

they say the vehicle may be an import and if it is i need the date imported and where from!

this seems all very wierd to me and i was wondering if anyone on this forums has anyway of checking this for me

vehicle reg is T140 HSA
VIN: IC3ESN7A8WD739845
as far as i am aware it is Neon 1.8SLX 16V
