New Aspen owner
Hi. New 09 Aspen Hemi 2wd owner here. We bought it new a few weeks ago -- (yes NEW). We found it about 220 mi from our home. Original sticker was $36.3K. Purchased price was $24.8K. It had 34 mi when we took it for a test drive. We're really liking it thus far. Power & torque is great! We traded an 08 Mercury Mariner Premier 4wd. Here's a quick pic in all it's stock glory. I've since added 20% tint to front windows, & Mopar running boards.
This is our first official Chrysler-badged vehicle, but we've had many other Mopars including:
- 05 Neon SXT
- 99 Stratus SE
- 95 Dakota 2wd, std cab, sb, 318 Magnum, 3:92 gears (very fun)
- 92 Daytona IROC 3.0
- 92 Sundance Duster 3.0
- 83 Turismo 2.2
- we also had a couple of Diamond Star Turbos along the way: 95 Talon TSI & 97 Talon TSI AWD.

^ Yes -- that was the only downfall. It's been a very rough winter here. However, we couldn't pass up the deal. They also gave us $2K more for our trade in vs. local Ford dealers (on new Explorers). With modern, sophisticated traction control devices, 2wd actually do pretty well. It's next to impossible to get them to slide sideways -- even if you wanted to. We now have (2) V8 rwds. My other vehicle is a Sport Trac 2wd, with 4.6 3V. I thought it was pretty quick, until I drove the Aspen.
