New Member south Louisiana
Hello, everyone just bought a Silver 2020 300 S w/Red S package; V6. I bought the car in Arizona and had it transported to Louisiana. I've been driving a 1995 GMC Z71 for the last 25 years so this is a BIG upgrade for my old butt.
It's a rebuilt car and is proving to have a couple of problems already. The car dealer failed to tell me everything wrong with it. Like how it runs out of gas with around 6 gallons still in the tank. Luckily I was in town when it ran out and not out on the interstate.
Not a happy camper about that but it could have been worse. I expected to find stuff wrong with it being it's a salvage. I made my living as a diesel and nat gas mechanic so I can fix most things.
I bought an Innova 5610 scanner to help solve problems. So far i've helped my brother find bad O2 sensors on his and his wife's vehicles. This thing has already paid for itself in saved labor fees.
Anyway wanted to say hello and all. I'm almost 60 and have been messing around with things with engines most of my life. I've owned a 70 El Camino with a 396, a 72 Chevelle with a 402, a Plymouth Horizon, a 53 Ford Crestline with flathead V8, 78 Z28 and an 89 Mustang GT before the 95 Z71 I just replaced with this 300 S.
I've done a little drag racing in cars and outboard boats. I worked as a diesel mechanic before moving into working on Natural Gas compression units. Also enjoy chootin' firearms when I get the chance.

Welcome to the forum.
Yes. Their is a way to edit a post. However, I believe you have to have a certain amount of post before the "Edit" button becomes available for you. It will appear just beside the "Quote" button. Same for a few other permissions on the forum. They will become available over time.
