Default NEWBIE TO CF, FROM HCF

Hi all. My name is Eric. I recently scrapped my long over due Honda project. I picked up a 1990 Chrysler Lebaron 3.0 convertible for $1300. It looked like a really good deal at first because the red cloth interior and plastics are all in very good solid condition. all the power controls still work (AC cold, PW, CC, New Power top motor) The white top does not leak and looks good and the body only has 2 small dime size dings. the maroon paint is still good. The v6 runs very smooth and pulls very hard from a dead stop all the way through the gears. Now the bad, i noticed after i bought it that there is what appears to be a head gasket leak. When under accelleration a small puff of white smoke comes out, not noticeable from inside. Also the seller lied in his ad that it was a 91 it really was a 90.Icame to find out afterward, because i dont read before I sign.I am too hasty of a buyer, i really need to stop that. Live and learn.I will make the best of this as i feel this car is still a good project even though i overpaid and this car is known for bad valve seals. I am now off to search the site for recommended aftermarket headgasket and seal set.

Oh yeah i also attempted to install a generic CAI without readingup first.I had no idea the ecu is inside the front of the intake tube!!I disconnected it then reconnected it wheni realized my mistake. Now the tach doesnt work and it seems to be idling a little high. arrrgh!I keep thinking i'm working on a Honda! what a noob i now admit i know nothing about Chrysler, but am ready to learn!
