Water pump rubber blank
Hi
Firstly thanks for being here. I have a 2006 3.3 Grand Voyager. On the water pump there is a rubber blank - not a flat plug - a rubber end cap which has decided it needs to vent off through a micro hole. Tried Radweld and all other wonder stuff but still vents off and loses about half a gallon of coolant. Very hard rubber and not happy to remove it without having a replacement. No parts manual shows it and not listed as far as I can see. So if anyone on the planet Chrysler can help with part number or correct size before I take it off.... approx. 1 1/2 to 2 inches long and diameter 3/4 inch - very rough guide as difficult to reach. Bless anyone out there who can help as bit off beaten track and need car to transport grand daughter to school.

My condolences to you. You explained the part quite well, and I know exactly what you are asking about. The 3.8 motor(like my USA model) uses the same item. NEVER had one go bad, not to say they don't. Did some quick searches and could find nothing of that part. MY suggestion is to get a short piece of radiator/heater hose of proper diameter and a short bolt that fits snuggly into it and new proper size screw clamps to the housing boss and for the bolt shank. I've seen a lot of these motors and have yet to see where there was ever one that actually used that port for anything...DUMB to have that there and just "capped".
GOOD LUCK!
GOOD LUCK!
LOL...Just replaced the heavily rusted lower inlet pipe on my 3.8 04 T&C (with tow package and extra port in it for the extra engine oil cooler)this spring! rockauto.com has MOST of the hard to find parts and at good prices for these popular vehicles.
