Default Engine swap in 98 plymouth breeze

okay.....i just purchased a 1998 Plymouth Breeze with a 2.0 4 cylinder engine with a 4 speed automatic transmission.....i was reading around about engine swaps and read somewhere that i am able to put in the 6G72 3.0 mitsubishi 6 cylinder engine from the Dodge Stratus couple. I read around that will fit in perfectly fine and will bolt up to my stock transmission...although for some reason I'm wanting to think it wouldn't bolt up to stock transmission....can somebody plz clarify this and help me out with a possible engine swap if that wouldn't work or if you think i could find a better engine to swap out? I love the car itself but...im not too much of a fan of the 2.0 engine thats in the car.....ty in advance for the help

You'll need a computer that matches the new engine to get it to work. You'll probably need to reprogram the computer with the VIN and mileage of your car. Best of luck on this. Let us know if it works.
