Default 2001 LHS when started goes to 3 grand

The plenum was removed to get better access to the coolant temp sensor. The gasket was replace when the plenum was put back on the car. When the car is started it races to 3 grand and will not idle down. If the accelerator is pushed it rises to 4 grand and will stay at that spot. The fuel is running rich. The PCM is not throwing any codes. What is being over looked?

spray carb cleaner around until it is sucked into the engine and it will rev higher

Check the PCV valve there is probably a crack and its causing it to rev high
