This has been a great riding long distance car, real smooth. Always needs something fixed though. Was doing oil change, drained oil...closed hood for some reason now cant get it open. Have watched all the how tos on You Tube, no answer there except to cut through hood and I dont want to have to do that, the car body is in great shape. Cable is broke, cant reach hood latch. Need some answers! Thanks!

 

Hood latch bolts to the rad support from the front. Gently with wood wedges about a foot apart from the center on the hood get a gap 1/2" gap opened up. 13 MM socket with a long enough extension remove the 2 nuts holding the latch, pull the latch forward enough to disengage from the studs.
