I have had a problem with my door triggers for a long time now and have just been ignoring it so far but its driving me crazy. When all the doors are closed my car will think that a door is open so all the interior lights stay on. They will randomly flash on and off sometimes like it might just be loose or something. I also can't lock my car because of this or my alarm will randomly go off thinking that a door has opened. I've noticed that this model has the triggers that appear to consist of a black metal rod that moves into a metal box when the door is closed. I have no idea which door the problem is with. I took the driver door off and inspected it but don't know how I could actually do anything with it without dismantling the entire door and possibly unwelding the pinch weld to get to it. Any suggestions or answers would be greatly appreciated.
