broke timing belt at 165k
I wanted to know if anyone has replaced a broken timing belt on the 300m 3.5l . Iv got the new belt on but i cant get the cams dead center between there timing marks, does any one have an ideal? Im still not sure if theres a possibility of valve damage when the belt broke, figured i would find out when i fire it up.

so after some work i got both heads off and all 24 valves hit pistons, but a gasket set, new valves, and the machine shop seating the valves on the sparkly clean head was only $480.00 and i cleand all the carbon of the pistons, and erg? I have some pics ill post.

so i got the heads on, everything assebled, it runs good but now theres a sound.
when you throttle up theres a whisping sound. the intake gaskets are new everything went on and was tourqed to specs, Im not sure where this sound is comming from besides the passenger side @ the intake area, could it be sucking more air now that everything is internal is clean again? has any one incounterd this after removing there intake manifold?
