I notice that the steering wheel shakes pretty bad when I hit rough patches on the the highway. Is that normal in these cars?

 

My 97 LHS does the same thing so I am guessing yes

 

I've done some searching and found that it could be a problem with slop in the steering rack or bushings or something like that. I'm not sure. I guess I'll have to look for a more active forum to get answers. This place is a ghost town!

Inner tie rod bushings common item on LH cars...cheap easy fix if it is the cause..

 

Does it need a new alignment after bushings are replaced? I just checked the parts at ADV and it looks like the poly upgrade bushings are only $22!
