i did not read the whole post but the engine comes out from the top also (did it). read my post. slight correction after removing the pass wheel and disconnecting the 2 bolt holding the left motor mount ( as looking at the engine) put the wheel back and drive the car on ramps, a whole lot easier (i'd think)

hehe obliviously have not look at the engine yet
there is more to holding the engine to the frame and trans then just 4 converter bolts.

2001 Sebring Convertible 2.7 Engine Removal - Drop Front Clip?
Will be removing the engine from below.

I think I have spent over 10 hours reading everything on the internet, in these forums, on ALLDATA, YOUTUBE, Indy's best machine shop, have spoken to the Sebring EXPERT at our local Chrysler dealer as well as my nephew (BMV MASTER MECHANIC). I am removing a 2.7 engine to do a complete engine rebuild that I will do myself, of course running everything through a machine shop.

I really like the idea of removing the front clip. Would really appreciate some complete pictures, or better yet, a YOUTUBE video. If you drop the clip is it possible to leave the AC system intact if you move the compressor out of the way? Or is it essential to remove the AC Condenser?

I found one internet picture of the clip dropped but they also had the entire front of car opened up.

Finally I was going to start a new thread as this thread has removal spelled incorrectly (I was lucky to find it). But as a newbie I thought I'd put it here. Please let me know if it is better to start a new thread "Sebring Convertible 2.7 Engine Removal Procedure - Front Clip"

Thank you
