Then it's a 2.4 inline 4 cylinder then. If it's running funny and you have no codes you could be off a tooth or 2 on the timing belt.

humm a 2.7 V6 Chrysler engine does not have spark plug wires its coil on plug my friend

ok ok,, the rubber thing on the end of the coil about 6" long...I replace them also!!
now any info on why this thing has the problem?????????????????????

ok your right I am wrong I have never rebuilt a whole 2.7 engine from the ground up
replaced 100s of timing chain kits and tune ups galore on a 2.7 engine I simply missed the spark plug wires while I was doing it

Sounds like a MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR and/or CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR to me. ADVANCE AUTO and AUTO ZONE will scan your OBD-II system for FREE to flush out any hidden codes. Good luck!

turned out to be the egr valve!! thanks everyone for your time....
