So im trying to figure out how to get my moms car back on the road.

the car at 1st wouldn't not shift .
I was in park but the cluster in the dash said "R"

then I hit the pink thing and I was able to get car in park and register on the dash being in park.

now the shifter just shifts and does not go into gear.

the roadside assistance person that towed vehicle said the spring that connects the shifter to the transmission broke can someone help.

my moms 60 with my special needs brother so im really trying to get them back on the road thanks in advance.
