08 Sebring Touring Convertible shut off without warning
Hello everyone,
I just bought a preowned 2008 Sebring Touring Convertible this weekend, and it's been awesome so far! Such a great car! However, tonight it shut off without warning at a stop light. All of a sudden it shuddered and the engine shut off, but the radio and windshield wipers stayed on. It started up just fine after that. I've tried to research this, but without much luck. Does anyone know a possible solution to the problem? I've also read it can happen while actually driving, which really scares me!
Help!!

Our 2008 Sebring Touring 2.4l had the same issue.
There is a TSB for the evaporative detection system.
Ours would hesitate or stall at lights or on the highway, esp when cold and damp outside.
If you have the v6 this may not apply to you.
Since the E.S.I.M and a few other parts were changed it never stalled again (under warranty)
Here is the info on the system

Also we never had any error codes.
Take it to a reputable Dealer in your area to have them check it out.
Hope this helps.
